Kalifornien har mött dödligt hårt väder i flera dagar, med minst sex personer som har dött sedan nyårshelgen, inklusive ett litet barn som dödades efter att ett redwood-träd föll och krossade en husbil i statens norra del. Två personer som dödades i vad som verkade vara stormrelaterade dödsfall i Sacramento County under helgen identifierades av länets rättsläkare på måndagen. Både Rebekah Rohde, 40, och Steven Sorensen, 61, hittades i tält i separata hemlösa läger, med en trädgren som har fallit på båda tälten, uppger rättsläkarens kontor. Dödsorsaken för båda väntade fortfarande på undersökning. Nästan hela Kalifornien har sett mer nederbörd än genomsnittet under de senaste veckorna, med totalt 400-600 % över genomsnittsvärdena, enligt National Weather Service. Klimatförändringar har gjort extrem nederbörd i Kalifornien dubbelt så sannolikt, med extremt väder som förutspås generera 200 % till 400 % av ytavrinning, regnvatten som inte kan absorberas av marken, i slutet av århundrade
